Custom solution for dredger spud system
For this dredging project, we supplied a custom SSH (Sling Socket Hoist) as an alternative to more conventional connection methods used in spud sling assemblies. The SSH is integrated into a dredger spud sling assembly within the vessel’s spud system. They are a key part of the system that keeps the vessel anchored and stable during dredging operations.

In this system, spud slings are used to lift and lower the spuds — vertical steel piles that anchor the dredger to the seabed — enabling stable positioning during operations such as reclamation, trenching, and port deepening.
By reducing the number of separate components and providing a compact, system-ready connection, the SSH offers an efficient solution where standard products do not fit the operational or installation requirements.
