The project included work on a Gottwald AK 680-3 lattice boom crane. Introduced in the 1980s, the AK 680-3 was developed for heavy lifting applications. The model has been used in ports, shipyards and industrial projects worldwide. Many of these cranes remain in operation today and continue to undergo refurbishment and modernization programs.

The delivery included both open and closed socket variants, suitable for wire rope diameters ranging from 56 to 60 mm. The matching socket pairs are used to connect short sections of wire rope in the crane's boom pendant system, forming the pendant assemblies that support the boom. These pendant lines are separate from the crane's hoisting system and are not used for lifting operations.

Our MHCS (Mobile Harbour Crane Socket) systems are compatible with various Gottwald crane models, including the AK 680-3.

World’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge

World’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge opened on 13 May 2022 in the ski resort of Dolni Morava in the Czech Republic. The footbridge spans a distance of 721 metres and took around two years to construct. Due to its length, this narrow suspension bridge is equipped with special wind cables and a wind-resistant stability system.
