Heavy-lift sea transport for the REEF project in Canada

The Ridley Island Energy Export Facility (REEF) in Canada is a major new liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) export terminal being developed by AltaGas in partnership with Vopak. The project plays a key role in expanding Canada’s LPG export capacity and strengthening its position in global energy markets.

For this project, our AqualLine Open Wedge Sockets No. 5 were supplied through our customer Roodenberg and used to securely rig key construction components during transport. The sockets enabled safe and controlled rigging of the components throughout the operation.

The cargo was shipped by BigLift aboard the heavy-lift vessel MV Pottersgracht, purpose-built for the transport of project cargo and heavy loads.
